PM Shehbaz, CM Maryam vociferously condemn Indian attack

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned what he described as a “cowardly and cunning” attack by India on five different locations inside Pakistan.

Calling it an act of war, the premier warned that Pakistan reserves the right to respond, and a befitting reply is already underway.

In a statement amid rising cross-border tensions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured the nation that the country's armed forces are fully prepared to defend every inch of Pakistani soil.

“Pakistan has every right to give a befitting reply to this war imposed by India — and that reply is being given. The morale of our nation is sky-high, and the people stand firmly with our brave forces,” he stated.

He further said that the enemy will never succeed in its nefarious objectives and that the Pakistani nation and military know very well how to counter such threats.

Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz declares state of emergency
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also strongly condemned the Indian aggression, calling it a cowardly attack. In a firm response, she announced a state of emergency across Punjab, placing all security agencies, including Punjab Police, on high alert.

“The enemy has attacked in May, but we will respond just like we did on May 28, 1998,” she said, referencing Pakistan’s historic nuclear tests. “Every child of Pakistan will play their role and emerge victorious, Insha’Allah.”

She announced the cancellation of all leaves for doctors and medical staff across the province and directed them to report to duty immediately. District administrations in all cities have been ordered to stay alert, and personnel from Civil Defense and other institutions have been summoned.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also weighed in, stating that Pakistan is actively responding to the aggression and hinted at major developments in the next 24 hours. “Tomorrow will bring good news. What the world is seeing today is a sign of our strong resolve. Even the United States is speaking in support of Pakistan — a diplomatic victory in these testing times,” he said.

Security sources have reported ongoing operations and elevated military readiness, further confirming the seriousness of the situation.
